me
I run every kickoff, build every keyword map, and read every draft before it lands in your inbox. If we work together, we actually work together.
the story behind the studio · bloomington, in
Verbwave isn't an agency floor of account managers. It's one writer in Bloomington who got tired of watching good companies rent attention with ads — and decided to help them own it instead.
how this started
Founded at a kitchen table on Bloomington's south side — same address that's still on the invoice.
— the whole team, waving
For years I wrote marketing copy for other people's agencies and watched the same thing happen on every account: pour money into ads, get a spike, cut the budget, watch the traffic fall off a cliff the very same day. It never sat right with me.
Meanwhile, the odd article I'd write on a quiet Sunday — a genuine how-to, a real comparison — would keep pulling people in a year later, two years later, without another cent spent. That gap is the whole reason Verbwave exists.
So I built the studio around patience instead of panic. I read what your customers actually type into Google, map the topics worth owning, and write pages that still earn clicks long after the invoice clears. Slower to start, but it compounds — and it's yours to keep.
When you email hello@verbwavecreative.com, you get me — not a queue, not a bot, not a junior learning on your dime. That's not a growth strategy. It's just how I like to work.
“i'd rather write four articles you'll be proud of than forty that just fill a content calendar.”
the short version of everything below
what i actually believe about this
SEO compounds — most clients see real movement around months three to six, then it snowballs. If someone promises page one next week, keep your wallet closed.
I use research tools, not ghostwriter robots. Every piece is drafted from real search intent and your real expertise — never padded to hit a word count Google will punish.
Whether it's a 400-word email or a 3,000-word pillar page, the last read before it reaches you is always mine. Nothing goes out that doesn't sound like you.
I cap the number of brands I take on so I have room to actually care whether your traffic went up this month. Fewer clients, deeper work.
Packages are month-to-month and everything I write is yours to keep, keyword map and all. I'd rather earn the next month than lock you into it.
so, who's “we”?
I keep it small on purpose, but I'm not precious about pretending I do it all alone. Here's honestly who touches your work.
I run every kickoff, build every keyword map, and read every draft before it lands in your inbox. If we work together, we actually work together.
When volume calls for it, I hand outlines to two or three specialist writers I've worked with for years — vetted, briefed, and never a mystery outsource. Everything still comes back through me.
The best pages start with what only you know. A quick voice call, a few notes — I turn your expertise into researched, publish-ready writing that sounds like you on your best day.
home base
Verbwave runs out of a home studio at 5906 S Anne Ct in Bloomington, IN — south of campus, near the B-Line. Most work happens between 10am and 6pm on weekdays, coffee optional but likely.
I work with founders and marketing teams well beyond Indiana — everything from kickoff to drafts to monthly read-outs happens over calls and shared docs. Local coffee is on offer for anyone close enough to Bloomington to swing by.
If you'd rather build an asset than refill an ad budget, I'd genuinely love to hear what you're working on. Worst case, you leave the call with a clearer plan.
